I studied Fashion Photography at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), where I was the top of my class and as such, was often chosen to assist the teachers on real jobs, outside school. My early career led me directly from school to a production manager role at a major New York studio and lab — a place where precision, polish, and visual impact were non-negotiable. Today, I’m semi-retired in upstate New York and fortunate enough to create only the work I believe in.
Over the years, I’ve come across many books about modeling — some even aimed at teaching it — but most tend to come from the photographer’s perspective. Unfortunately, they often fall short: the photography lacks finesse, and the models are not shown at their full potential.

I’ve often been told: “If (you) can’t make someone look like a cover model, it can’t be done.” That’s a challenge I’m always happy to accept.
